Cheshire or the County of Chester is a county in North West England. The county town, and the location of the county council, is the city of Chester. Other major towns include Congleton, Crewe, Ellesmere Port, Widnes, Runcorn, Macclesfield, Northwich, and Wilmslow.

The county is bordered by Merseyside and Greater Manchester to the north, Derbyshire to the east, Staffordshire and Shropshire to the south, Flintshire and Wrexham in Wales to the west. Cheshire is a very interesting place to visit. Cheshire covers a boulder clay plain separating the hills. This was formed by the retreat of ice age glaciers. That’s why it is very beautiful and suitable for holiday. Many people love to go to Cheshire besides the beautiful place, there are also lots of things to do and explore in Cheshire.

The most famous place to visit in Cheshire is Beeston castle. Beeston Castle has the most spectacular view of any castle in England. The 4,000 year-old story of this formidable fortress, revealed in the Castle of the Rock exhibition, encompasses conquest, siege and whispers of buried treasure. Beeston Castle is a perfect picnic spot and don’t forget to bring your camera and binoculars to enjoy the stunning views from the summit.
